About the role 

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can define and deliver products that have a real impact on people’s financial futures. You’ll be joining a small and early-stage engineering team where each engineer has significant ownership and your contributions will directly shape the product and the company’s technical direction. 

As a senior member of our engineering team, you’ll focus on the development and supporting infrastructure of vested.co – our core equity management and stock-option-funding platform. 

What You’ll Do 

• Build impactful features: Design and implement user-facing features that help people understand and manage their equity compensation. 
• Own end-to-end delivery: Take projects from concept to production, including system design, implementation, testing, and deployment. 
• Shape our technical direction: Contribute to architectural decisions and help establish engineering best practices as we scale. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product, design, and business teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Grow the team: Share your expertise with other engineers and help build a culture of continuous learning. Help us grow and shape our inclusive, friendly, egoless engineering culture.
• Solve complex problems: Tackle challenging technical problems around financial calculations, data integrations, and building reliable systems at scale. 

What We’re Looking For 

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production software. 
• Full-stack capabilities with strong expertise in modern web technologies. We work with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB. You should be experienced building frontend features, designing APIs, and modeling data relationships. 
• Product mindset: You care deeply about user experience and enjoy building products that solve real problems. 
• Strong communication skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Ownership mentality: You take pride in your work and see projects through from start to finish. 
• Growth mindset: Eager to learn new technologies and domains.

Expected salary for this role is $145,000 – $190,000 (depending on qualifications and experience) 

Location 

Fully remote. Standup and collaboration is centered mostly around the Eastern Time Zone, but we have team members from Alaska to Europe.
