About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Short-Form Video Editor to join our team and support a U.S.-based lifestyle and entertainment brand.
In this role, you will transform existing long-form videos, podcasts, and recorded content into engaging, high-quality short-form videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
The ideal candidate has experience in video editing, understands social media trends, and can independently produce polished, ready-to-publish content.
This position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after 30 days, depending on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Edit long-form videos and podcast recordings into engaging short-form clips.
Create high-quality content optimized for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Identify interesting and relevant moments from existing footage.
Add captions, transitions, and basic visual enhancements to improve video quality.
Ensure consistent branding, video formatting, and overall content quality.
Organize and maintain edited videos and content files.
Make revisions based on client feedback.
Deliver completed videos according to agreed timelines and content schedules.
Qualifications
Proven experience in short-form video editing for social media.
Experience repurposing long-form videos, podcasts, or interviews into short-form content.
Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software.
Good understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts formats.
Ability to identify engaging moments and create well-paced videos.
Strong attention to detail and creativity.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience editing podcast or interview content.
Familiarity with lifestyle, fashion, music, entertainment, or community-related content.
Experience using AI-assisted video editing tools.
Basic understanding of social media content scheduling and organization.
