Social Media & Marketing Intern

About FORMR
FORMR is a pre-launch sports-tech platform founded by Rennie Curran, former NFL linebacker. We’re building the platform that connects athletes, coaches, trainers, and fans in one community ecosystem. As we get ready to launch, we’re building the audience, the buzz, and the brand that will bring that community together. We’re looking for a creative, hustling social media and marketing intern who wants to help launch a brand from the ground up, at a startup with a real founder and a real story.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, create, and schedule content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X: short-form video, graphics, carousels, and captions
  • Build and manage a content calendar for the pre-launch countdown, launch, and the weeks after
  • Capture and edit behind-the-scenes content of the founder, the team, and the build
  • Grow and engage our community by replying to comments and DMs and interacting with athletes, coaches, and fans online
  • Support the promotion and coverage of FORMR events and activations, including the launch party and major sports moments like the College Football Playoff, NBA All-Star, and the Super Bowl
  • Research trends, hashtags, and competitor accounts, and turn what you find into content ideas
  • Help find and coordinate with athlete ambassadors and creators for collaborations and user-generated content
  • Track performance (reach, engagement, follower growth, sign-ups) and put together simple weekly reports with recommendations
  • Help write email campaigns, landing page copy, and launch announcements

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related program
  • You know how social media works: trends, formats, and what makes people stop scrolling
  • Strong writing skills and a good eye. Your posts will be the voice of FORMR.
  • Experience creating content with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar tools
  • Organized and reliable. You hit posting deadlines without being reminded.
  • Genuine interest in sports, athlete culture, or startups
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Bonus: a personal or managed account that shows your content skills, experience with scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite), photography or videography skills, or prior work with a team, club, or organization’s social accounts

What You Get

  • Direct mentorship from founder Rennie Curran and access to his professional network
  • Real experience launching a brand: content strategy, community building, event promotion, and analytics
  • Content you created and results you drove, ready for your portfolio
  • Exposure to sports marketing, athlete partnerships, and live event activations
  • Letter of recommendation and LinkedIn endorsement
  • Academic credit coordination available
