Marketing & Growth Intern

We’re building an early-stage AI security startup with a product that helps developers and AI power users keep their AI agents safe and under control. We’re preparing for our public launch and are looking for a driven, curious Marketing & Growth Intern to help turn that early interest into customers.

You’ll work directly with the founders on launch, acquisition and growth across paid, organic and community channels. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, and your work will directly shape how we go to market.

If you’ve run any form of marketing or targeting in developer communites and/or Google Ads campaigns (even for a side project, class or freelance client), or you’re active in developer or AI communities online, you already have a leg up.

What You’ll Do

• Help plan and run our public launch on Product Hunt and Hacker News and more
• Grow our presence in developer and AI communities, including GitHub, Reddit, Discord, Slack groups and X
• Build, manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns targeting developers and AI power users
• Turn waitlist signups into downloads and purchases through email campaigns and onboarding flows
• Create content that shows the product in action, such as short demos, real use cases and posts explaining AI agent security in plain language
• Identify and reach out to tech and AI creators for partnerships and reviews
• Research potential partnerships with AI agent, developer tool and security companies
• Monitor campaign performance and pull weekly reports on key metrics (CTR, CPC, conversions, cost per download, waitlist-to-purchase rate)
• Conduct keyword research and support A/B testing of ad copy, landing pages and product screenshots
• Research competitors and the market to inform positioning
• Help maintain marketing dashboards

What We’re Looking For

• A basic understanding of organic and paid marketing
• Genuine interest in AI and security, and ideally some experience using AI agents or tools like ChatGPT, Claude or coding assistants yourself
• Comfort working with data and drawing meaningful conclusions
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas simply
• Highly organized, self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-moving startup with little structure
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Analytics 4
• Familiarity with Reddit Ads, Google Ads, X Ads, LinkedIn Ads or Meta Ads
• Basic knowledge of SEO
• Interest in or basic knowledge of cybersecurity or AI security
• Experience marketing to developers or growing an online community
• Experience with tools like HubSpot, Mailchimp, Notion or Canva
• Basic video editing skills for short product demos
