About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Drafter with 5+ years of hands-on AutoCAD 2D drafting experience to join our growing team. This is a technical drafting role focused on transforming interior design concepts, sketches, layouts, and designer markups into accurate, construction-ready documentation.
You will work closely with interior designers, architects, consultants, and project teams across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and educational projects.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented drafting professional who excels at construction documentation, furniture and millwork detailing, and producing high-quality technical drawings with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do
- Convert interior design concepts, sketches, layouts, and designer instructions into detailed
- AutoCAD 2D construction drawings
- Prepare:
- Floor plans and layouts
- Interior elevations
- Sections
- Enlarged details
- Furniture construction drawings
- Millwork details
- Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and design markups
- Coordinate drawing details with project information and architectural documentation
- Maintain CAD files according to drafting standards, layer management, and company conventions
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and consistency across drawing sets
- Incorporate revisions accurately and efficiently
- Perform quality control reviews before submission
- Assist with FF&E documentation and material/finish schedules
- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders
