About the role

Join Waterplan’s Marketing team as a Content Creator and help position our brand’s thought leadership within the corporate water sustainability sector. You’ll produce compelling content tailored for the sustainability leaders of the world’s largest companies across various industries, ensuring impactful messages that raise awareness and drive engagement. You’ll write about today’s most pressing sustainability topics, such as the global water crisis, its impact, and potential solutions.

You’ll be responsible for creating and promoting timely content aligned with our marketing calendar and goals, positioning us as thought leaders in sustainability. Your role will encompass writing varying pieces of content short- and long-form, including blog articles, case studies, webinar scripts, LinkedIn posts, and marketing emails. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and analyze content performance, driving continuous improvement in our content strategy. Your creativity, attention to detail, and dedication will be crucial in driving Waterplan’s growth and success.

 

Your Profile

We are seeking a highly adaptable individual who can seamlessly adjust to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic startup environment. This role demands a proactive and self-motivated professional with a strong sense of initiative, always eager to stay updated with our product developments, industry trends, latest news, and competitive landscape. Collaboration is key, as we value a team-oriented approach and a spirit of working together towards common goals. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, ensuring that all marketing materials excel in writing and communication tone, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

About your core focus

 

Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging scripts, storylines, and slides for webinars and in-person sessions.

  • Write and edit SEO-optimized blog articles tailored to our audience, create and repurpose downloadable gated content, and craft customer case studies showcasing Waterplan’s success.

  • Write the content for sales presentations and our website.

  • Write newsletters and promotional emails to nurture leads and engage customers, create content for LinkedIn posts and ads, and develop sales messaging sequences for the sales team to contact prospects.

 

Content Management:

  • Ensure timely production and publication of content per the marketing calendar.

  • Keep Waterplan’s website content up-to-date with the latest messaging and value proposition.

  • Maintain an internal library of published content and resources for team use.

 

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work with internal teams, such as Sales, Professional Services, and Product, to gather insights and ensure timely content publication.

  • Collaborate with external partners and influencers to co-create content and expand reach.

Performance Tracking and Optimization:
  • Monitor content performance to measure engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates.

  • Optimize content based on data and feedback to enhance effectiveness and ROI.

     

  • Proven Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in content creation, writing, and editing, preferably within a B2B context.

  • Educational Background: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 

  • Skillset:

  • Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to think strategically and align content efforts with broader marketing goals.

  • Creativity to generate innovative content ideas.

  • Project management abilities to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously

  • Nice to have: Hubspot and SEO best practices

  • Passion:
