As Calabrio expands globally, we are seeking a dynamic, commercial oriented, proven P&L leader as VP of Product Management to lead our Calabrio ONE suite and Partner solutions. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and management of a company’s product portfolio, while also overseeing the financial performance (Profit and Loss) of the product lines. This role combines the strategic and commercial aspects of product management with the accountability of managing the financial outcomes, ensuring that products not only meet market needs but also contribute significantly to the company’s profitability.
The VP of Product with P&L responsibility leads the product management organization and is directly accountable for the financial performance of the product portfolio. This role requires a strategic leader who understands market dynamics, customer needs, and can drive the product development process while managing the profitability of the products. They ensure that product strategies are aligned with financial goals and that products are optimized for revenue generation and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback and market data to guide product decisions and ensure relevance in the market. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Product Strategy: Define and communicate the long-term vision and roadmap for C1 product and partner roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: For the product portfolio – oversee and optimize the sales pipeline, including lead generation, sales conversion, and customer retention. Establish sales targets and KPIs, ensuring teams meet or exceed performance standards. Work closely with sales leadership to improve sales processes and strategies.
- P&L Accountability: Take full ownership of the P&L for the product portfolio, including revenue, cost, and profitability targets. Establish product pricing strategies, cost structures, and profitability models. Analyze financial performance regularly and implement corrective actions when targets are not met. Monitor product lifecycle costs, including development, marketing, and operational expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual and quarterly product budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals. Collaborate with the finance team to forecast revenue and profitability, adjusting product strategies as necessary to meet financial goals. Regularly review financial metrics such as margins, costs, and revenues to make data-driven decisions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success to deliver impactful products and meet commercial targets.
- Go-To-Market Strategy: Partner with sales and marketing teams to define positioning, messaging, and enablement for product success and highlighting AI-driven capabilities.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure product impact, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and other professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of product vision, progress, and results.
Skills and Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial roles in product led company, with at minimum 5 years in leadership roles, preferably SaaS and AI solutions.
- Proven P&L experience in demonstrated success in revenue growth, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Significant experience in business and commercial management roles including business case and pricing for AI driven solutions is essential.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data and fact-based decision.
- Hands-on experience in strategic planning and business case development

- We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $209,000 annually.
