UI/UX Researcher

Job Title: UI/UX Researcher

Location: REMOTE – LATAM

Requirements: Must be able to work Los Angeles hours (PST) M-F

Overview: Our client is a technology research and design lab based in Los Angeles, and is seeking a talented UI/UX Researcher to join the team and help shape the user experience of their products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user research, with a passion for understanding user needs and translating them into actionable insights. This role is critical in ensuring that products are user-centered and meet the needs of their diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Research:

    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics.

    • Develop user personas and journey maps to inform design decisions and strategy.

    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to translate research findings into actionable insights that inform product design and development.

  • Usability Testing:

    • Plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate product functionality and identify areas for improvement.

    • Analyze and report on usability findings, providing clear recommendations for enhancing the user experience.

  • Data Analysis:

    • Gather and analyze user data from various sources, including web analytics, heatmaps, and user feedback, to identify trends and opportunities for improving the user experience.

    • Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers, to ensure that user research findings are integrated into the design and development process.

    • Advocate for the user at every stage of the product lifecycle, ensuring that the user’s voice is heard and prioritized.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX research methodologies and tools.

    • Continuously seek out new ways to improve the research process and deliver impactful insights that drive product success.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in UI/UX research, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to translate user insights into product improvements.

  • Proficiency in research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.

  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate research findings to stakeholders.

  • A user-centered mindset, with a passion for creating products that deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field is preferred.
