Social Media & Content Specialist

We’re looking for a self-motivated, confident, and creative individual to join our growing Marketing team. This role will be responsible for creating relationships and building trust online with current and potential customers. You will be directly involved in maintaining and enhancing Webafrica’s brand image, while helping to promote our services, online.


If you have a passion for social media with a creative mind to build and execute campaigns online, whilst helping to promote our services to the community we serve and create online content via our blog and other relevant online platforms, then this is the position for you.



  • Planning and developing online media campaigns (both paid and organic).
  • Create engaging copy, imagery and video content to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new services/products.
  • Community management: Facilitate online conversations with customers and followers.
  • Posting content/competitions/campaigns across online media accounts
  • Working closely with our Online Customer Service Team to ensure all queries are responded to.
  • Establish relationships with online media influencers to develop a strong network.
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends.
  • Set KPIs, analyze and report on campaigns to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with changes on all online platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
  • Oversee our online media accounts.
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers/followers.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree advantageous; Studies in Marketing or Digital Marketing, Communications or related area preferred.
  • Experience as a social media manager or a similar role.
  • Experience with managing budgets, identifying audiences and running paid ads on social media to create brand awareness.
  • Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to multitask.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
  • Excellent Multitasking and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
