Job Description

The Advisory Program Manager at Sutherland is a strategic position designed to manage and expand relationships with management consultancies. This role focuses on promoting Sutherland’s capabilities, driving innovative collaboration opportunities, and identifying new revenue streams through joint go-to-market initiatives. The incumbent will serve as a key liaison between Sutherland and the consulting community, ensuring effective communication and alignment of strategic goals.

The Advisory Program Manager is responsible for:

  • Building and Managing Relationships: Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with assigned management consultants to amplify Sutherland’s market presence and capabilities.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Partnering with senior management to develop and refine engagement strategies, followed by disciplined execution to achieve business objectives.
  • Market Analysis and Insight Generation: Conducting in-depth research to understand and map both internal and external partner ecosystems, identifying key areas for collaboration and growth.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Working closely with various Sutherland teams to identify needs, prioritize actions, and explore partnership opportunities that open new revenue streams.
  • Expertise in Advisor Procurement: Becoming a knowledgeable resource on advisor procurement methodologies, guiding deal pursuit teams through the process.
  • Brand Amplification: Utilizing social media and other communication channels to build and enhance relationships, promoting Sutherland’s successes and innovations within the consulting community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and Manage Relationships with Management Consultants

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with assigned management consultants.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment of goals between Sutherland and consultants.

Strategic Engagement Planning

  • Partner with senior management to define and refine a strategic engagement approach.
  • Execute engagement strategies to drive Sutherland’s presence and effectiveness in the market.

Conduct In-Depth Market Research

  • Perform disciplined research to understand and map both internal and external partner ecosystems.
  • Identify key trends, opportunities, and areas for collaboration with management consultancies.

Collaborative Solution Development

  • Collaborate with various Sutherland teams to define organizational needs and prioritize actions.
  • Develop joint go-to-market strategies with management consultants to explore new revenue streams.

Identify and Leverage Partnership Opportunities

  • Explore partnership opportunities that align with Sutherland’s business goals.
  • Develop and implement joint initiatives that drive mutual growth and innovation.

Expertise in Advisor Procurement

  • Become an expert in advisor procurement methodologies.
  • Guide and support deal pursuit teams with knowledge of advisor procurement processes and best practices.

Utilize Social Media and Communication Channels

  • Leverage social media to build and maintain relationships with the consulting community.
  • Amplify Sutherland’s brand, successes, and innovations through various communication platforms.

Monitor and Report on Engagement Activities

  • Track engagement activities, outcomes, and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on engagement progress and areas for improvement.

Drive Business Development and Growth

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through relationships with management consultants.
  • Support business development efforts by aligning consultant partnerships with Sutherland’s growth objectives.

Represent Sutherland in Industry Forums

  • Act as a spokesperson for Sutherland in industry events, forums, and discussions.
  • Enhance Sutherland’s visibility and credibility within the management consulting community.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven history of successful team interactions in previous roles.
  • Internship, co-op, or summer work experience in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or leadership roles during undergraduate studies is preferred.
  • Understanding of management consulting practices and business development strategies.
  • Familiarity with advisor procurement methodologies and partnership dynamics is a plus.
  • Proficient in using social media channels for professional networking and brand amplification.
  • Competency in utilizing research tools and methodologies for market analysis.
