We’re looking for a flexible, energetic, and proactive problem solver with experience navigating the challenges of supporting the continued development and success of largescale IT systems.

The Work You Can Do

As a system testing and validation consultant, you’ll work alongside experienced consultants to contribute directly to a wide range of system testing tasks that call for clear thinking and excellent execution in a fast-paced environment.

You Work May Include

• Working with varying project tracks to understand, develop, and test product requirements
• Supporting functional testing, deployment activities, defect-resolution processes, and execution of scenarios for test cases, including functional, regression, and smoke tests
• Ensuring components meet technical design requirements, documenting test results, and working with developers and business analysts to interpret functional requirements
• Addressing, triaging, and reporting defects found during testing
• Tracking defect statuses using Jira and helping create dashboards to track item progression
• Hosting meetings with development and client counterparts to resolve issues that occurred while testing
• Creating documentation using Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel
• Reporting statuses to internal management and client teams
• Following documentation to create, edit, and read external interface files

• Asks thoughtful questions, welcomes feedback, and enjoys working with a team
• Is willing to roll up their sleeves on any task — ranging from developing the big picture to getting the details right
• Is based in Baton Rouge, La.; however, remote candidates will be considered and are encouraged to apply

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Experience performing IT application testing and/or user acceptance testing
• Experience in system testing tools such as Jira and Jama
• A demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately review and understand documentation to support testing
• Experience utilizing simple select queries and joins with SQL
• Willingness to learn new skills, adopt new methodologies, and accept feedback
• A basic understanding of Louisiana’s corrections programs/systems is preferred
• Experience in the system development life cycle or related work is considered a plus
