About the Role
We’re looking for a data-first Staff Marketing Manager to help our customers navigate some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, from choosing a credit card to refinancing a loan to building an emergency fund.
As a lead individual contributor, you’ll own email and push notification strategy and execution for a business vertical or area of customer engagement, from identifying opportunities and launching net-new programs to experimentation, optimization, and scaling. Your goal is to improve customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value (LTV) through data-driven decisions, personalization, and scalable marketing infrastructure. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Design to turn customer insights into measurable business outcomes.
This role reports to the VP, Customer Growth.
Where you can make an impact:
Own email and push notification strategy end-to-end, from planning and execution through experimentation, analysis, optimization, and scaling, and evolve the engagement roadmap as customer insights and business priorities change.
Design and launch net-new campaigns and automated programs, using segmentation and personalization to improve customer engagement, retention, and LTV.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to improve email and push infrastructure, develop predictive models and targeting strategies, and test integrated customer experiences.
Own performance measurement and ROI across email and push, and build and maintain the reporting frameworks that support continuous optimization.
Design and run rigorous A/B tests across creative, landing pages, audience targeting, and customer experiences, and use the results to decide what to scale, improve, or discontinue.
Translate performance, test results, and customer behavior into recommendations that influence marketing strategy, product decisions, and business priorities, and communicate impact and trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership.
Mentor teammates, constructively challenge existing practices, streamline workflows, and flag operational risks early with proposed solutions.
Your experience:
7+ years of professional experience working with data and cross-functional stakeholders in marketing or a related function.
Strong analytical skills: you’re comfortable pulling insights from data to guide strategy and prove impact.
Hands-on experience with a customer engagement platform such as Braze, Iterable, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Experience managing budgets and reporting performance against KPIs.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive outcomes without direct authority.
An owner mentality with a bias for action: you flag issues early and bring potential solutions.
AI literacy, with the ability to use AI and automation tools to build solutions on your own.
A bachelor’s degree in a technical field (mathematics, economics, engineering, or statistics) or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
Bonus Points
Familiarity with SQL and/or HTML.
Experience in fintech, consumer finance, or another regulated industry.
