Job Summary

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects and key client deliverables. This role partners closely with clients to understand their business processes, translate business needs into system requirements, configure and customize software solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

The Implementation Consultant will demonstrate software functionality, lead requirements and configuration sessions, provide training, troubleshoot issues, coordinate testing, and provide ongoing support. The role also ensures that implemented solutions meet client requirements and comply with applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who can influence decision-makers, manage competing priorities, and work effectively across client and internal teams. Excellent communication, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Client Implementation & Requirements

  • Lead end-to-end software implementation projects from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Meet with clients following the sale of software packages to collect the information and data required to configure and customize solutions.
  • Facilitate business-requirement sessions to understand client needs, evaluate priorities and feasibility, and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Analyze clients’ as-is business processes and translate them into to-be processes within Irth products.
  • Identify process, product, and functionality gaps and recommend enhancements or new features when necessary.
  • Customize and configure software systems based on individual client requirements and specifications.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned implementation projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed within established KPIs, timelines, and budgets.

Configuration & Training

  • Lead clients through system configuration using a Train-the-Trainer approach.
  • Develop client-side subject matter experts who can effectively administer and use Irth software.
  • Demonstrate system functionality and answer client questions throughout implementation.
  • Provide training, troubleshooting, and implementation support.
  • Assist clients in understanding how software functionality supports their business processes and requirements.

Project Management & Documentation

  • Work closely with Project Managers to plan, organize, and control multiple project initiatives.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and maintain accurate project status reporting.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and consistent communication throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain implementation documentation, including:
    • Statements of work
    • Business and functional requirements
    • Process flow diagrams
    • Wireframes
    • Configuration documentation
    • Project status reports
  • Utilize company systems to maintain accurate project status, project information, and time entries.

Product & Development Collaboration

  • Coordinate client enhancements with internal Irth product and development teams for upcoming sprints.
  • Maintain close working relationships and regular communication with technical team members and development leads.
  • Work with internal teams to establish estimated delivery timelines for planned development projects.
  • Communicate changes to development timelines, including revised ETAs and the reasons for those changes, to affected stakeholders.
  • Participate actively with development teams to ensure user stories accurately reflect business requirements and are incorporated into technical designs.
  • Support the breakdown of requirements into development sprints and actionable technical deliverables.
  • Ensure enhancements and solutions align with the overall product strategy and do not conflict with existing product functionality.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with clients.
  • Support clients in validating new functionality and ensuring requirements have been met.
  • Facilitate UAT sign-off for new features and enhancements.
  • Participate in detailed system and business-process analysis.
  • Review product content for accuracy and alignment with business intent.
  • Apply strong underwriting and product knowledge when reviewing requirements, configurations, and content.

Customer Success

  • Take an active role in managing the overall customer relationship and satisfaction throughout all phases of implementation.
  • Proactively identify potential implementation risks and develop solutions before they affect project outcomes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure clients receive appropriate communication, support, and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Success in This Role

Success in this position means delivering implementations on time, within budget, and according to client requirements, while creating strong client relationships and ensuring customers can effectively adopt and use Irth’s software solutions.

The Implementation Consultant will serve as the critical bridge between clients, business requirements, product strategy, project management, and software development.

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with customers in software implementation or delivery environments.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, software products, and technologies and translate them into effective customer solutions.
  • Ability to build, motivate, and maintain productive working relationships with customers, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply professional experience, sound judgment, and analytical thinking to plan and accomplish project goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours on a daily basis.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree, consistent with the experience requirements above.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is USD $100-120K. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include any other compensation components like OTE. Any offers made are dependent on factors including and not limited to experience, skills, and location.
