Software Engineer

Who we want:

A cracked, self-taught engineer who thinks in code. We don't care about your degree or college. We care about what you've built. You have strong fundamentals and a system design mindset, you prefer quality and security over speed at any cost, and you can take a vague problem and ship it properly.

What you'll do:

• Own features end to end: understand the problem, design the system, build it, ship it, and keep it running
• Design and build backend services, APIs and integrations, with reliability and security in mind
• Build clean, fast and polished product experiences on the frontend
• Keep the platform stable: monitoring, debugging, performance, and handling edge cases before users find them
• Review and improve code, including AI-generated code, and raise the quality bar for the whole team
• Work directly with the founders to decide what to build next

You're a fit if you:

• Have taught yourself to build and have shipped real projects (GitHub, a live app, or a product you launched)
• Understand how systems fit together: APIs, databases, queues, caching, auth and failure modes
• Are comfortable with Postgres (schema design, indexes, transactions) and know when to use Redis (caching, queues, rate limiting)
• Write secure code by default: input validation, auth checks, secrets handling, and safe payment and webhook flows
• Use AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor heavily, and can review, test and fix what they produce
• Work with little supervision and can commit 40+ hours a week for at least 6 months
