Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer – Finance Applications & Integrations

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Application Development: Build complete web applications, customer portals, and dashboards, including responsive interfaces, backend services, APIs, databases, authentication, and role-based access.
• AI Agents & Automation: Develop AI agents with tool calling, retrieval, structured outputs, workflow orchestration, evaluation, and appropriate human approval steps.
• End-to-End Delivery: Own implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, production troubleshooting, documentation, and user adoption.
• Integration Architecture: Design maintainable architecture and reusable integrations with OAuth, webhooks, queues, retries, duplicate prevention, and failure recovery.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Technical Leadership: Manage cloud infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD, secrets, logging, backups, performance, and operating costs; review code and guide other developers.
• Financial Applications: Build finance dashboards and applications for invoicing, payments, cash flow, collections, expenses, reconciliation, and exception review.
• Financial Platform Integrations: Integrate accounting, billing, payment, and ERP platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Stripe, Bill.com, or Ramp.
• AI-Powered Document Processing: Build AI-assisted document extraction and validation for invoices, receipts, and statements; synchronize customers, vendors, invoices, and payment statuses.
• Financial Controls & Accuracy: Implement reconciliation, audit trails, and approval workflows for payments, refunds, and accounting entries; use explicit rules for calculations and financial writes.

Requirements

Must-Have

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with personal ownership of production applications from architecture through deployment.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript, React or Next.js, backend development with Node.js, and practical Python experience.
• Experience designing SQL/PostgreSQL databases, APIs, authentication, multi-tenant access controls, and background jobs.
• Proven delivery of AI agents and third-party integrations, including secure credentials, rate limits, synchronization, and production error handling.
• Hands-on cloud deployment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical plans, estimate work, communicate tradeoffs, lead implementation, and ship independently.
• Production integration experience with accounting, payment, billing, expense-management, or ERP applications.
• Understanding of accounts payable/receivable, invoices, credits, payments, reconciliation, sensitive financial data, and financial access controls.

• CPA or bookkeeping workflows.
• Plaid integrations.

• Month-end close processes.
• Confidence-based review queues for extracted financial data.

System and Work Setup Requirements:

• A stable and high-speed internet connection preferably 25 MBPS or higher with backup in cases of power interruption or service provider issues.
• Own PC/laptop with 8GB RAM, and a processor of Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 3 / 2013 Mac equivalent or higher; Windows 10 or above / Catalina 10.15 or newer; with up-to-date web browsers, and security software, 500GB/128 SSD storage
• Headset/earphone with noise cancellation and webcam at 720p or higher resolution
