About the role

We are building a reusable platform that converts Shopify stores into branded Android and iOS
shopping apps.
We need a developer who can build polished mobile experiences and design an architecture
that supports multiple merchants without maintaining separate codebases or repeatedly creating
custom integrations.

Responsibilities
● Build and maintain cross-platform shopping apps using React Native and TypeScript.
● Integrate Shopify products, collections, variants, cart, customer accounts, and checkout.
● Create reusable components, store configurations, and integration adapters.
● Research compatibility with third-party tools for reviews, loyalty, subscriptions, search,
promotions, analytics, and customer engagement.
● Identify which capabilities work through Shopify, require provider APIs, need a fallback,
or cannot be supported.
● Handle mobile navigation, persistence, loading/error states, performance, and
accessibility.
● Manage API failures, stale data, changed prices, unavailable variants, and checkout
continuity.
● Support Android/iOS builds, signing, releases, deep links, and app updates.
● Use AI tools to accelerate delivery while independently validating the implementation.

Required skills
● Production React Native experience on Android and iOS.
● Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, state management, navigation, and API integration skills.
● Previous hands-on integration of Shopify APIs into a mobile shopping experience.
● Understanding of Storefront GraphQL APIs, cart/checkout flows, and customer
authentication.
● Experience with local storage, secure credential handling, debugging, and release
workflows.
● Ability to distinguish Shopify theme behaviour from functionality available to a native app.
● Strong attention to UI details and end-to-end shopping correctness.

• Shopify Checkout Kit, third-party commerce integrations, configurable multi-brand apps, push

notifications, analytics, and mobile performance optimization.

Selection process
A five-hour assignment covering reusable architecture, integration research, and a small React
Native shopping prototype, followed by a technical review.
