About the Role

We are looking for a motivated PERN Stack Developer Intern who is interested in building real-world web applications and SaaS products.

As an intern, you will work closely with our development team on frontend and backend development, REST APIs, database integration, third-party API integrations, debugging, and improving existing product features.

This is a hands-on role where you will get exposure to production-level application development rather than only working on practice projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js / Next.js.
• Build backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Develop, integrate, and test REST APIs and third-party APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL and understand database design, queries, relationships, and data handling.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and basic security practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot frontend and backend issues.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Work with existing codebases and contribute to new product features.
• Test APIs using tools such as Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Work with Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Understand and work with API documentation and external service integrations.
• Optimize application performance and fix bugs identified during testing.
• Coordinate with developers and other team members to deliver features on time.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Hands-on knowledge of React.js.
• Understanding of Next.js.
• Understanding of Node.js and Express.js.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
• Knowledge of API integration and third-party APIs.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or another relational database.
• Understanding of SQL.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Understanding of frontend-backend integration.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of authentication systems such as JWT/OAuth.
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Understanding of API documentation such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Basic knowledge of Docker.
• Familiarity with deployment and cloud environments.
• Experience working on a SaaS, startup, or production project.
• Knowledge of MongoDB is a plus.
