Meta Ads Lead

About this Role

We’re looking for a Paid Media Specialist (Meta) to drive paid social performance across Valerie’s portfolio of ecommerce brands.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day strategy, execution, optimisation, and performance of Meta campaigns across Facebook and Instagram, while also developing your knowledge across TikTok, Google, YouTube, and other acquisition channels. You’ll own campaign budgets and performance targets, audit existing accounts, identify opportunities, and continuously test new approaches to improve results.

You’ll work closely with Creative, Analytics, POD, and broader Paid Media teams to turn performance data into better campaigns, stronger creative, and more effective acquisition strategies. Success in this role isn’t measured by simply launching campaigns or hitting a short-term ROAS target; it’s measured by how consistently campaign performance improves, how quickly new opportunities are identified and tested, and how effectively your work contributes to profitable growth.

You could be a great fit if…

  • You enjoy being hands-on in Meta Ads Manager and staying close to campaign performance and data.

  • You naturally combine analytical thinking with strong commercial and strategic judgement.

  • You understand how campaign structure, audiences, creative, bidding, budget allocation, and funnel stages work together.

  • You proactively audit accounts, identify performance gaps, and act on opportunities rather than waiting for direction.

  • You enjoy testing new audiences, creative concepts, campaign structures, and bidding strategies to find what works.

  • You know how to turn performance data into clear and actionable feedback for Creative and other teams.

  • You thrive in a fast-moving environment where strategies, priorities, and platform best practices continuously evolve.

  • You are curious about paid media beyond Meta and actively want to build expertise across other platforms.

  • You take ownership of budgets and performance rather than treating campaign execution as a checklist.

  • You enjoy sharing knowledge, contributing to team discussions, and helping more junior team members improve.

  • You are comfortable working with data and communicating performance insights clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in paid social/media buying, with strong hands-on experience managing Meta advertising.

  • Proven experience managing performance-driven Meta campaigns across ecommerce or other conversion-focused businesses.

  • Strong experience with Meta Ads Manager and Business Manager, including campaign setup, audience strategy, bidding, budget allocation, optimisation, and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of Meta campaign structures, full-funnel strategies, retargeting, prospecting, audience segmentation, and creative testing.

  • Proven experience managing meaningful campaign budgets and being accountable for performance targets.

  • Strong understanding of paid media metrics including ROAS, CAC, CPA, CTR, CPC, CPM, CVR, and contribution to revenue and profitability.

  • Experience auditing existing campaigns and identifying opportunities across targeting, creative, bidding, campaign structure, and budget allocation.

  • Proven ability to design and execute structured experiments across creative, audiences, bidding, and campaign strategy.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn performance data into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience working closely with Creative teams to develop and iterate performance-driven advertising creative.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Creative, Analytics, POD, and Paid Media teams.

  • Willingness to develop expertise across TikTok, Google, YouTube, and other paid media platforms.

  • Willingness to complete and maintain relevant platform certifications as required.

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior paid media team members is preferred.

Bonus Points

  • Experience scaling ecommerce or DTC brands across multiple markets.

  • Hands-on experience with TikTok Ads, Google Ads, YouTube, or other paid acquisition channels.

  • Experience managing large or multi-brand paid media portfolios.

  • Experience with full-funnel paid media strategies spanning both acquisition and brand-building objectives.

  • Familiarity with GA4, Looker Studio, Tableau, or other analytics and reporting platforms.

  • Experience with Conversion API, server-side tracking, attribution, or advanced measurement frameworks.

  • Familiarity with automation workflows or AI-driven campaign optimisation.

  • Meta Blueprint or other relevant paid media certifications.

  • Experience working within founder-led startups or high-growth ecommerce businesses.

You probably shouldn’t apply if…

  • You prefer campaign execution without taking ownership of performance or budgets.

  • You rely on others to identify account issues or optimisation opportunities.

  • You focus on individual campaign metrics without understanding the broader business or commercial outcome.

  • You are uncomfortable testing new approaches or changing strategy when performance data calls for it.

  • You see creative as separate from paid media performance rather than a key driver of results.

  • You prefer working only within Meta and have little interest in developing broader paid media expertise.

  • You are uncomfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and strategies can change quickly.

  • You rely on established playbooks without questioning, testing, and improving them.
