HR Data & Attendance Officer (Part-Time)

Disaster Care Capital

Fully remote — UK business hours

About us

Disaster Care Capital is a fire and flood restoration company with over 15 years’ trading, based in London

The role

You’ll be the person who keeps our HR records accurate, current and easy to find. This is a purely administrative role within the HR team: you’ll own the daily attendance reporting, keep employee data clean across our systems, and take routine admin off the HR team’s plate so they can focus on people.

The work is detail-heavy and quietly important. Payroll, scheduling and compliance all depend on the data being right, and you’ll be the one who makes sure it is.

What you’ll do

Data entry and records

  • Enter and update employee information accurately in our HR systems and spreadsheets
  • Maintain digital employee files (contracts, right-to-work documents, onboarding paperwork, certifications), keeping them complete and well organised
  • Check records regularly for errors, duplicates or missing information, and flag or correct them
  • Keep personal data handled confidentially and in line with GDPR and company policy

Attendance and reporting

  • Record and monitor daily attendance across the team, including absences, lateness and leave
  • Produce a daily attendance report and share it with HR and relevant managers
  • Prepare weekly and monthly attendance summaries and spot patterns such as repeated absence or lateness
  • Reconcile attendance data with holiday and sickness records and pass accurate figures to payroll

General HR administration

  • Support onboarding and offboarding: prepare new starter files, send welcome documents, track completion of paperwork
  • Track and update holiday allowance, sickness and other leave
  • Schedule interviews, send candidate correspondence and keep recruitment records up to date
  • Draft routine HR letters and emails (contract confirmations, reference requests, leave approvals)
  • Answer employee queries on routine matters and direct anything complex to the HR team
  • Help prepare HR reports and summaries when required

Process

  • Work to our SOPs, and tell us where they could be better

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English (C1 or above), mandatory. You’ll be writing to colleagues and external parties in the UK
  • Previous experience in an administrative, data entry, HR support or similar role
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of catching errors others miss
  • Fast, accurate data entry
  • Confident with Excel or Google Sheets, and Outlook or Gmail. You pick up new systems quickly
  • Highly organised, able to manage routine daily tasks reliably and meet deadlines, even on reduced hours
  • Discretion and integrity with confidential information
  • A clear communicator who asks good questions once, rather than the same question three times
  • Able to work independently in a remote setting
