Content Writer Intern
About GTM Examples
Why do some companies grow faster than others? Why does one pricing strategy work while another creates friction? And what can we learn from the decisions that successful businesses make?
These are the questions we explore at GTM Examples.
We break down real examples from B2B and AI companies to understand the thinking behind their products, positioning, pricing, and growth. Our aim is to turn these lessons into useful, engaging content for founders, marketers, and people building businesses.
We're looking for a content writer to help bring these ideas to life across our publication and social channels.
What You'll Work On
You'll work closely with the founder, who will provide the core research, ideas, and strategic direction. Your job will be to shape that material into content that is clear, compelling, and enjoyable to read.
Your responsibilities will include:
- IP writing: Turn research and key insights into well-structured articles that hold the reader's attention.
- Short-form content: Adapt longer articles and existing material into concise posts for Substack, LinkedIn, and X.
- Content repurposing: Find different ways to present the same core idea across platforms while keeping each piece relevant to its audience.
- Editing and refinement: Improve hooks, transitions, clarity, and flow while preserving the original argument and editorial voice.
- Fact-checking: Verify claims, figures, and references in drafts and flag anything that needs clarification.
- Editorial consistency: Learn the GTM Examples style and apply it consistently across everything you write.
You won't be expected to conduct extensive company research or develop the core business thesis independently. We'll provide the source material and direction. We need someone who can turn it into excellent writing.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in someone who enjoys writing and wants to get better at it.
You should be able to:
- Write in natural, conversational English without making the content sound stiff or overly formal.
- Organize information into a logical narrative rather than simply summarizing facts.
- Make complicated ideas easy to understand without losing their meaning.
- Follow a brief carefully while using your own judgment to improve the writing.
- Accept feedback, revise your work, and apply what you've learned to future drafts.
- Meet deadlines and communicate clearly when something is unclear.
- Use AI writing tools thoughtfully, with the judgment to recognize and remove generic or repetitive output.
You don't need to be an expert in business, marketing, or AI. Curiosity about these subjects is a plus, and a willingness to learn matters more than already knowing everything.
Previous writing experience is helpful, but we're open to candidates who can demonstrate their ability through personal projects, college work, blogs, or other writing samples.
We'd Love to See What You've Built
Have you ever started something of your own?
It could be a social media page, a newsletter, a blog, a small community, a college initiative, a personal project, or anything else you've worked on.
Tell us what you started, why you did it, what you tried, and what you learned. Include a link if you have one.
It doesn't need to be successful or have a large audience. We're interested in people who take initiative, experiment with ideas, and are willing to learn by doing.
What You Can Expect
You'll work directly with the founder and gain practical experience in writing, editing, content repurposing, and digital publishing.
You'll learn how to communicate business ideas effectively, contribute to a growing publication, and build a portfolio of work based on real companies and their growth strategies.
This is a good fit for someone who wants to strengthen their writing skills, understand how online content works, and take on more responsibility as they grow.
Role Details
- Position: Content Writer Intern

Shortlisted candidates will receive a sample of our existing research and be asked to turn it into a short piece of content. This will help us understand your writing, ability to follow direction, and attention to detail.
We're excited to find someone who can grow with GTM Examples and help us communicate great business ideas through better writing.
