About Blair Health
Blair Health is a clinical infrastructure company closing the specialist gap. Today, someone with perimenopause, menopause, pelvic health, urology or nutrition concerns can see three primary care providers and a specialist and still leave without an answer. Blair changes that.
Our platform gives generalist clinicians the tools, protocols and clinical support to deliver specialist-grade care across menopause and perimenopause, urology and pelvic health, and nutrition, with weight loss coming soon.
To date, our focus has been women’s health. We believe all people should have access to specialist-level care, and we are opening our care to men, starting with weight management.
The Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded Internal Medicine or Family Physician to join our clinical leadership team as the Canadian Medical Lead for our weight management vertical. The vertical’s clinical protocols have been developed by our obesity medicine specialist; you’ll provide medical oversight across Canada as we launch and scale, making sure those protocols are delivered safely, consistently and in line with current Canadian guidelines.
You’ll report to our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Lindsay Shirreff, and work closely with our obesity medicine specialist, Dr. Pooja Singhal, and our provider group. As Blair Health expands, the role will include involvement in our other verticals.
- Location: Canada, virtual or in person
- Commitment: Part-time, 1–2 days per week
- Reports to: Chief Medical Officer
What You’ll Do
- Lead medical oversight of the weight management vertical in Canada, ensuring our established protocols and care pathways are implemented and followed consistently across the provider group.
- Keep protocols current, working with our obesity medicine specialist to review and update them as Canadian guidelines and evidence evolve.
- Lead quality and safety oversight for the vertical, including case reviews, clinical KPI and quality monitoring, and adverse-event review.
- Act as the senior physician resource for our providers, receiving escalations through defined pathways and offering case review, advice and direct consultation where appropriate.
- Take part in clinical leadership meetings and contribute to decisions on clinical governance, provider support and the launch of new services.
- Lead or contribute to education rounds with the provider group.
- Contribute to other verticals as Blair Health expands, including oversight and escalation pathways as new services launch.
