Business Operations Lead

About Marit Health
Founded by the same team that built Glassdoor, Marit Health is the fastest-growing community and job search platform in medicine. We bring salary transparency, job search, and community together in a modern platform built specifically for doctors and advanced practice providers. In under two years we've grown past 140,000 clinicians, and our job search is now one of the top products in the industry.

We lead with AI in everything we do. Every person on the team gets a sizable AI budget, and we use it to accelerate and drive rigor across all projects. Once a month, we all spend a full day exploring new ways of utilizing AI to stay cutting edge.

Role
Marit is a two-sided marketplace: clinicians search for jobs on one side, and health systems and recruiters pay to reach them on the other. We're hiring our first Business Operations Lead, a generalist whose scope runs from analytics and pricing to special initiatives, new business lines, partnerships, and Sales and Customer Success support. Today this work is shared across our product managers and founders. You'll report directly to our CEO, with some chief of staff work as part of the mix.

What you'll do

  • Lead special initiatives. Explore and test new ideas and business lines: market size, competitive landscape, unit economics, strategic fit, and a recommended plan for the team to pursue. Run special projects end-to-end and work cross-functionally to drive them to completion.
  • Be the analytical engine for the paid business. How to drive more employers from free to paid, what drives candidate quality, renewal patterns, and pricing implications.
  • Establish sources of truth. Define the metrics the company runs on. Our product database, PostHog, Customer.io, and Attio each hold part of the picture; pull them into dashboards that all team members find useful, and create the agents that keep them current, using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Grok Bot.
  • Lead partnerships with professional associations and publishers. Build the pipeline and run it from first contact through launch.
  • Support Sales and Customer Success. Delivery reporting and check-in analysis for sponsored employers, set up to run automatically rather than on request.

Who you are

  • Consulting foundation, operator reflexes. At least 4 years across McKinsey, Bain, or BCG (or equivalent) and an operating role at a tech company in BizOps, strategy, analytics, or growth.
  • Healthcare experience, especially on the provider side or in clinician recruiting.
  • Marketplace experience. Supply, demand, liquidity, and how a change on one side shows up on the other.
  • Very proficient in AI. You've connected systems to AI, run complex analyses through it, and put agents or automations to work. You can share examples of what you've built.
  • Serious analytical range. Rigorous about definitions, comfortable with messy data, able to explain complex things simply.
  • Curious about how systems work. You like developing a holistic understanding and understanding the drivers of metrics.
  • Strategic depth. You can take a loosely defined question, decide what matters, do deep research, land on a clear recommendation, then help carry it out.
  • Strong communicator and deal-maker. Runs meetings and negotiations with executives and partners.

Why join Marit

  • Work alongside the team that built Glassdoor and apply those playbooks to medicine.
  • Be the first person in this seat, with the equity, scope, and ownership that come with being early.
  • A mission that matters: helping every clinician thrive in their career.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $175,000 – $200,000, depending on experience
  • Meaningful equity at a well-funded, fast-growing startup
  • Health benefits and PTO
