Business Development Partner (Contract), Palance

Part-time contract, remote, 10 to 20 hours per week. Commission-led, no base. Some availability for Japan time needed to coordinate with me, the founder.

About Palance

Palance is a portfolio intelligence platform for family offices, HNWIs and smaller institutional investors. It covers performance, risk, diversification and underlying exposures across asset classes. You’ll work directly with me.

The role

Close Palance’s B2B customers. This is a closing role for someone who already knows the buyers, and you’ll help shape pricing and positioning as you learn what the market responds to.

  • Log your target accounts in the CRM at the start so ownership is clear
  • Turn warm introductions from your network into demos and signed clients
  • Build referral channels with advisers, consultants and complementary firms
  • Support new clients through onboarding
  • Keep the CRM current and work with our growth marketer, who will be feeding you inbound demos

You

  • Have a track record closing B2B deals, ideally in financial services, fintech or investment technology
  • Have an existing network of family offices, wealth managers or institutional investors you can approach in your first few weeks
  • Know how portfolios and family offices work

Compensation

Commission on revenue from the customers you close, with a higher rate for accounts you source yourself. Rates, attribution and payment terms are agreed on a call and confirmed in the contractor agreement. Equity is open for the right person.

To apply

Send your CV or LinkedIn and a short account of one B2B deal you personally sourced and closed: the customer and problem, your role, the sales cycle and outcome. Also tell me which types of accounts you could approach in your first 30 days and how warm those relationships are. No names needed.
