About us
Helfen Company is a founder-operated e-commerce business behind two fashion accessory brands, Archer Watch Straps and Downholme. We sell on Amazon and Shopify across the US, UK, EU, and Canada as a lean two-person team, with over a million products sold and years of steady growth.
What we're looking for
We want to run much of our business through a well-designed system of AI agents: a structured team of agents that handle purchasing, inventory, marketplace upkeep, reporting, and documentation in the background, with people stepping in where judgment matters.
We've built some automations ourselves, but we don't want to experiment our way there and rebuild everything in six months. We're looking for someone who has already built agent systems that run real operations and can be our guide: someone with a clear, tested view of how to structure agents, how they coordinate, and how they share memory.
What you'll do
- Design and build a multi-agent system that runs core operations: replenishment and purchase orders, inventory and shipment tracking, marketplace listing health, and reporting
- Design the memory and context architecture: what each agent and each person knows, what's shared, how context is separated and stored, and how it stays current over time
- Build in the right human checkpoints, safeguards, and logging so the system can be trusted with real money and real customers
- Learn our operations firsthand and help run them, so you understand the work the agents are doing
- Document the system so it can be understood, maintained, and extended
Who you are
- You have built and run at least one agent system in production, ideally more than one, and can walk us through its architecture, what broke, and what you'd do differently
- You have a strong, practical point of view on agent memory and shared context
- You write real code and are fluent with AI coding tools
- E-commerce, logistics, or operations experience is a strong plus, but not required
- US time zone required, US-based preferred
Compensation and benefits
- $80,000–$120,000 depending on experience
- Annual bonus, likely tied to company performance
- Annual learning and tools budget
- QSEHRA health benefit (monthly contribution toward a health plan of your choice)
- Fully remote, with some paid travel early on to learn operations firsthand
Please include with your application
Describe an agent system you've built that runs in production. What does each agent do, and how do they coordinate? How is memory and context stored, and how is it shared between agents and between people? What would you change if you built it again? Links, demos, or diagrams are welcome.
