Product Manager – Artist Marketing Platform
We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Product Manager to join the Marketplace team – Spotify’s division that is dedicated to helping artists thrive. Marketplace’s mission is to build tools that help artists and their teams build an audience, monetize their fans, and live off their work. A key focus of that mission is to empower the 1 million+ monthly active artists using Spotify for Artists with self-serve marketing tools.
In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team from Design, Engineering, and Product Insights to define the roadmap for self-serve marketing tools in Spotify for Artists. You will also collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal. From prototyping to development to commercialization, you’ll manage the full lifecycle for campaign creation, management, and measurement features that enable artist teams to reach fans on Spotify. In doing so, you will be on the front lines of bringing Spotify’s two-sided marketplace vision to life.
What you’ll do
- Build and iterate tools, such as campaign booking flows, management capabilities, and reporting data visualizations that help Creators manage their marketing campaigns in Spotify for Artists
- Build a roadmap for the self-serve marketing platform by collaborating with internal partners, meeting with artist & label customers, utilizing data insights, and understanding the broader artist marketing landscape
- Prioritize new features based on customer needs, business potential, and technical platform scalability.
- Define metrics we use to measure the health of our marketing platform.
- Collaborate closely with other Product Managers working on new marketing capabilities to make them accessible at scale via the self-serve platform
- Partner with Product Marketing to launch new features and iterate on existing products
- Ensure your team has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support
Who you are
- You have proven experience working as a product manager in cross functional teams that have shipped products at scale
- You ideally have worked on a B2B product and in the marketing technology space
- You have experience collaborating with a wide range of non-product partners in a matrixed organization, and understand how to influence and inspire teams
- You’re a compelling storyteller who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types
- You’re passionate about the opportunity to better serve artists & their teams
- You have a team-first approach and have developed techniques to ensure your teams are happy, motivated and productive
- You are comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and timezones
Where you’ll be
- We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode best for them!
- Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location
- Prefer an office to work from home instead? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences. Find more information about our Work From Anywhere options here
- Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration
