We’re a $50MM rapidly scaling DTC metabolic optimization company who is seeking an experienced growth leader to drive us toward our goal of hitting $1 billion by 2024. We’re self-funded team of ~150, are profitable, and have grown 300% in the last 3 years. 2021 is setting up to be a pivotal year and will be our hockey stick moment. To fully leverage the exciting time, we need a T-shaped growth leader with a robust track record of delivering huge leaps in growth for $100MM – 250MM+ companies with deep multi-channel paid acquisition experience who also flourishes on conversion and retention/monetization. You’re hands on, can zoom in and out and have been there and done that.

The ideal candidate is completely addicted to growth, darts out of bed in early a.m. with your mind racing with ideas, yet has proven ability to methodically develop strategy, build a team, execute and deliver results. You are a growth architect and are obsessed with experimentation and optimization, can easily float among all major growth channels (paid, organic, social, web, app, offline, online, etc … and from a career perspective, you’re energized, primed and ready for the biggest challenge of your life.

Hello, my name is Marc Stockman, co-founder and CEO of Metabolic Living, and I need your help. We’ve spent the last 10 years quietly architecting a multi-product, multi-platform, multi-channel economic engine that delivers profits to self-fund our company. We spend $2MM+ per month in paid media that will grow to $5MM per month by year end, thanks to our robust LTV that allows for a high CAC. However, for us to hit our goal of becoming a billion-dollar revenue brand by 2024, I need to replace myself as the growth leader. My true passion is in developing our products, that’s my highest and best use, and so I’m excited to find someone to take what we’ve done to the next level.

We need someone who has scaled companies into the $250MM – $500MM range, who can bring the wisdom, expertise, network and know-how to hit the ground running, peer around corners and create a growth roadmap that helps us deliver on our goals. You’ll report directly to me and will have my and our other co-founder’s 100% support as growth marketing is in our DNA.

Metabolic Living is a self-funded, profitable, rapidly growing multi-channel DTC health and wellness company with 150+ on our team and on pace to more than double in 2021. The trend towards health and wellness was already a wind in our sails, but COVID lit a match and set our growth on fire. Our products and services include nutraceuticals, functional foods/beverages, customized exercise and nutrition programs and 1-on-1 and group coaching.Most companies provide just 1-2 of these solutions, but we provide them all. And integrate them to make it easy.

And it’s all based on our proprietary Metabolic Optimization System (or Metabolic OS) that combines extensive practitioner wisdom and scientific research with machine learning and AI to deliver a truly customized consumer experience. That true customization combined with our true integration of all elements of our ecosystem delivers the true transformation that all consumers want. Think of us like the Apple for your metabolism. What’s Our Past and Future?

We built everything organically in reverse, starting with our first nutrition program in 2012, then our first exercise program in 2014 and then launching our full ecosystem of products, including nutraceuticals, functional foods, subscriptions, memberships, 1-on-1 coaching and more. Currently, these are all marketed separately under different DTC websites and brands in a direct response (DR) manner.

And now we’re centralizing everything under our new brand, Metabolic Living, with our flagship e-comm website launching in April, with our app launching thereafter. Normally, companies launch with a brand and then figure out how to make money. We did that in reverse – pinpointing pain points, curating world-class products, validating product-market match, generating cash flow to self-fund our growth, building out our operational team along the way and then retrofitting the brand on top. Strange path, but here we are.

What are the Required Skills, Experience and Traits?

  • 5-7+ Years Growth Leader – You’ve experienced start-up like growth rates and learned every lesson the hard way leading growth to $250MM – $500MM+, boosting lifetime ROAS by driving up LTV and driving down CAC (alternatively, you may have been 2nd in command, learning everything along the way, you have the blueprint, and this is your breakthrough opportunity to truly lead everything)
  • Front-end Paid Acquisition Expert – You’re a master at scaling paid media to deliver efficient ROAS and CAC, know how to build and manage teams, and can deftly guide us through current agency usage to building out an internal team when the time is right
  • Conversion Optimization Expert – You excel at conversion rate optimization, with deep experience in running experiments with value props and messaging, design, UX and technical optimizations to drive up conversion rates and improve ROAS and CAC
  • Back-end Monetization Expert – You know how to drive up customer LTV with upselling and cross-selling, but also by maximizing retention with activation, engagement and creating true lifetime relationships with customers via CRM
  • Proven Track Record – Your resume is littered with delivered, measurable growth accomplishments for acquisition, conversion and monetization that your references will validate
  • Multi-Channel Acquisition – In-depth, practical, hands-on experience from everything from paid acquisition to organic, to social, to online and offline channels
