About the Position
The Director of Implementation (Blue Yonder WMS) leads all new customer implementations and major WMS expansions at Kenco. The role provides functional and technical guidance across solution design, configuration, integrations, and go‑live execution. The position oversees internal and external consultants to ensure accurate and efficient delivery. The Director serves as the primary implementation owner and subject matter expert for the platform.
Functions
- Leads high risk or strategically significant implementations on the Blue Yonder WMS platform.
- Serves as the senior solution architect for the Blue Yonder WMS, providing direct guidance in functional design, configuration, warehouse process modeling, integration strategy, troubleshooting, cutovers, go-live, and hypercare support.
- Reviews and approves design documents, configuration decisions and test strategies.
- Serves as the final escalation point for technical and functional implementation challenges.
- Owns end-to-end implementation delivery for all new business wins and major expansions.
- Ensures projects meet committed timelines and budgets while maintaining high quality and system stability.
- Establishes practical implementation standards while allowing flexibility for customer-specific needs.
- Manages risks, dependencies and cross-functional handoffs throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Manage an internal team of implementation consultants, providing coaching and mentoring through hands-on involvement, design reviews and joint problem solving.
- Manages project workload and resource assignments to ensure proper coverage across concurrent implementations.
- Leads customer workshops, design sessions, and executive checkpoints when needed.
- Owns Blue Yonder WMS implementation stands, configuration guidelines and integration patterns.
- Translates complex technical topics into clear business outcomes for both customers and internal leadership.
- Remains current on Blue Yonder WMS product releases and drives continuous improvement, proactively applying new capabilities where appropriate.
- Tracks and analyzes implementation KPI’s, applying lessons learned directly to future deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience implementing Blue Yonder WMS (JDA), including solution design and configuration.
- 5+ years of experience leading WMS implementation teams in a 3PL or complex distribution environment.
- Blue Yonder certification(s) and/or PMP or Agile certifications preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, multi-client 3PL operations preferred.
- Experience supporting RFP responses and customer solutioning preferred.
- Demonstrated success delivering large scale, multi-site WMS implementations.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, labor processes, RF, integrations (ERP, TMS, automation), and data flows.
- Experience managing and working alongside external system integrators and consulting partners.

Travel Requirements
- This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.
