Junior Graphic Designer

Main areas of focus: Design, Innovation, Brand consistency, Layout, Typography
Location: Remote – U.S. only.
Eligibility: charity: water is fully remote and hires from all 50 U.S. states. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States without the need of company sponsorship now or in the future.
You’ll bring our mission and brand to life by creating inspirational, innovative, and consistent design.
As a Junior Graphic Designer at charity: water, you’ll create authentic, thoughtful design for a variety of audiences. Reporting to a Senior Designer, you’ll work on digital and print materials, including donor and stakeholder reports, presentations, marketing campaigns, and much more. You’ll collaborate with teams across the organization to design experiences for our donors to demonstrate their impact and evolve their relationship with charity: water. As a member of the Brand & Content Team, you will make sure that our designs thoughtfully communicate charity: water’s mission and impact.
      Fostering and strengthening the charity: water brand across all digital and physical platforms
      Developing materials to inspire and engage everyone from our most impactful donors to new (and future!) supporters
      Designing for internal and external needs of departments across the organization
      Partnering with other members of the Brand & Content Team to brainstorm and cultivate innovative ideas
      Creating branded comms for email and social
      1-2 year of professional design experience
      A portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of layout and typography
      A high level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
      A passion for learning and exploring new ideas
      A gracious love for critique and implementing feedback
      Experience with, or working knowledge of, Figma
      Experience building emails in an email marketing platform
      Experience with Keynote
      Experience designing for a cause, purpose-driven brand, or a tech-startup

design reviews with our cross-functional design team.
The Brand & Content Team is a deeply passionate group of designers, videographers, editors, social media strategists, and storytellers. They’re responsible for gathering inspiring content and crafting one-of-a-kind stories from the countries we serve. They help our amazing community of supporters be more aware of the global water crisis, compelling them to take action.
