Our committed Hello Alice team is growing quickly, and the Junior Frontend Engineer will be responsible for creating highly accessible, lightweight, and performant web applications that help us along this path.

Hello Alice is a fully remote team, so all US-based locations are considered.



The Junior Frontend Engineer candidate should have knowledge of some modern javascript libraries and platforms including: React, Angular, and Vue. The candidate should also have expert knowledge of HTML5 / SASS and introductory knowledge of consuming REST APIs.

The candidate will be responsible for creating frontend javascript components for our web applications that are both highly accessible and lightweight. They will coordinate with their senior developers in other product teams to provide a cohesive architectural code base centered around extensibility.

You’ll report to the Frontend Lead Engineer of your team.


Role and Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be working on day-to-day, but as a nimble organization that puts our small business community at the forefront, flexibility is key, and other responsibilities may arise.

  • Writing and maintaining performant and reusable code
  • Constantly improving site performance and accessibility
  • Participating in sprint planning activities
  • Developing their knowledge and understanding of javascript
  • Developing their knowledge of computer science best practices
  • Developing their personal growth through online training and internal mentorship


Job Requirements
  • 0-1+ years of front-end development team experience
  • 1+ years experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with React and Redux
  • Experience with working with REST APIs
  • Experience designing responsive web-apps
