About the Position

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director, Web Strategy & Content, to take end-to-end ownership of Verato.com. This role will be responsible for establishing and executing the overall web channel strategy and objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in web content and platform management, digital strategy, and SEO, with a proven ability to translate business goals into effective and engaging web experiences.  This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute a website strategy and roadmap to enhance user experience, engagement, and conversion rates; while applying the following duties:
  1. Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement in content, design, and technical performance.
  2. Conduct A/B or split testing to assess and optimize various website elements, ensuring data-driven decisions to improve conversion rates and user engagement.
  3. Create visually appealing and user-friendly website pages to improve the overall user experience. Analyze heatmaps to gain insights into how visitors interact with the site, using this data to guide and enhance the user’s journey.
  4. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and ADA accessibility standards.
  5. Use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio) to monitor website performance and user behavior. Provide regular reports on key performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Share insights and feedback on website performance with the global and regional teams.
  • Establish SEO/GEO strategy to improve a website’s visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs) and attract more organic traffic, ultimately driving business growth. Work with the demand generation team on implementing activities in support of the strategy.
  • Collaborate with the demand generation team to ensure alignment between paid activities and organic strategy.
  • Manage a team of design and content resources, internal and vendors, to create high-impact content for use on the website and other channels for use in GTM activities. 
  • Serve as the web tech stack (i.e. CMS, web apps, personalization tech, data tech, etc.) and demand generation tech stack to meet the needs of marketers, content creators, and developers.
Requirements

Education

  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field

Experience

Required:

  • 5-8 years of experience in website strategy, digital marketing, or related fields.
  • Proficient in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and similar platforms. Experienced in setting up tracking, analyzing user behavior, creating custom reports, and delivering actionable insights to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Experienced with the tech stack used for demand generation and prospecting including DemandBase/6Sense and Marketo. 
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, and other web technologies.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and technical SEO.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations. 
  • Experience in team management with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are important.
