Our award-winning near-peer mentoring program for students has empowered more than 12,000 students through a fun and engaging weekly curriculum of projects proven to develop the most critical skills for students who learn differently to thrive in school and life. 

The organization is in an exciting phase of innovation as we expand beyond our classic Eye to Eye program to advance our mission in new and exciting ways through the launch of The Neurodiversity Alliance (“The ND Alliance”).  The Neurodiversity Alliance equips high school and college students directly with the tools to launch neurodiversity-focused clubs on their campus, while providing access to a variety of scholarships, leadership opportunities, and national campaigns and events designed to build community, facilitate peer-to-peer support, raise awareness, and engage in advocacy. 

About the Position

The Digital & Growth Marketing Manager will lead the collaborative development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a coordinated, multi-channel digital marketing strategy that effectively leverages the brand’s social media, email/SMS, and LMS platforms to attract, engage, and retain The Neurodiversity Alliance’s target audiences in support of the organization’s annual program and revenue growth and engagement goals. 

The Digital & Growth Marketing Manager for The ND Alliance’s top priority will be managing growth-oriented, digital marketing activities designed to inspire high school and college students ages 14-26 years old to launch and grow The ND Alliance clubs on their school campuses, as well as apply for and participate in various national leadership opportunities and scholarship programs.  This role will also support our community fundraising efforts by leveraging digital marketing channels to inspire members of the public and our community to donate or fundraise on behalf of our mission.

The ideal candidate must be creative, innovative, and committed to collaborating across departments and with young adults directly to ensure that the organization’s digital presence aligns with our brand values, is representative of the diverse communities we serve, and is successful in growing and retaining target audiences.  The Digital Growth Marketing Manager must be an effective communicator and writer, detailed-oriented, organized, and able to fully own digital initiatives, including the thoughtful tracking, analysis, and reporting of data and performance metrics, as well as continuous learning and improvement that incorporates national and local research, data, and best practices.  

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with other members of the organization, and other key internal and external partners and supporters. This role also serves as an advocate for the organization and participates in various community outreach and development activities as well. 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this full-time, FLSA exempt position is expected to work an average of 40 hours per week remotely from anywhere within the contiguous United States. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm ET or 8am to 4pm PT, with occasional overnight travel and limited evening and weekend hours required.

Responsibilities

Growth-Oriented Digital Marketing Strategy & Implementation

  • In partnership with the Director of Marketing & Communications, lead the collaborative development of The ND Alliance’s coordinated digital marketing strategy to ensure each channel has clearly defined goals and performance metrics, as well as clear activities and implementation guides that are effective at achieving them.
  • Plan and manage the execution of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns including creating or compiling engaging copy, photos, videos, graphics, and other content for social media, emails, and SMS messages.
    • Social Media: Utilize SproutSocial platform to develop and expand The ND Alliance’s social media presence, including hands-on management of a comprehensive social media content calendar, paid advertisements, and brand partnerships across our social platforms to grow followers, increase engagement, monitor trends, analyze metrics, and drive program sign-ups, applications and donations. 
    • Email & SMS: Utilize CampaignMonitor platform to manage email and SMS marketing activities in support of program growth and engagement goals, including ensuring contact information for constituents is accurate and up-to-date in our Salesforce database, and coordinating effective list segmentation and A/B testing for various campaigns.
    • LMS & Mobile App: Utilize MightyNetworks LMS platform and mobile app to manage push notifications and in-platform marketing activities in support of program growth and engagement goals.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and implement lead generation and referral/network-based marketing strategies for digital channels aligned with specific growth objectives, grant deliverables and priority markets.
  • Partner with program teams and student ambassadors to capture stories, quotes, photos and videos that showcase the impact, key features, and benefits of our programs.
  • Create and manage digital advertising campaigns and brand/influencer partnerships, leveraging Google Ads, Meta for Business, and other ad platforms.
  • Implement SEO and UTM best practices to monitor and report on the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts and optimize the user experience using Google Analytics.  Ensure all digital properties and marketing initiatives are aligned with industry best practices with a focus on continuous learning and improvement. 
  • Track and analyze content performance to identify and share insights for iterating and optimizing digital content strategy to increase followers and subscribers, signups and applications, and philanthropic support. 

Accountability & Other Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze data and key metrics to ensure that activities are effective in delivering intended impact and facilitating intended outcomes and develop improvement and innovation strategies as appropriate. ​​
  • Manage expenses in accordance with established budget and identify when additional resources are needed.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the mission of The ND Alliance and as a credible subject matter expert in the field.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional communication and collaboration that centers diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Mitigate the organization’s exposure to risk, including compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and guidelines.
  • Assist with and participate in various special projects and initiatives, including but not limited to working groups, task forces, committees, and other duties as assigned or as interested.

Role-Specific Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading the implementation of a multi-channel, growth-oriented digital marketing strategy in support of programs or products intended for youth and young adult audiences.
  • Ability to develop engaging content and short-form videos using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more.
  • Experience managing social media and email/SMS platforms (SproutSocial and CampaignMonitor or similar). 
  • Experience utilizing UTM codes and social and email/SMS insights and analytics to grow digital marketing efforts.
  • Experience managing paid social ads, influencer/brand partnerships, and affiliate marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing contacts and segmented lists in a CRM database, preferably Salesforce or similar.
  • Experience managing projects and multiple priorities simultaneously to meet or exceed goals.
  • Experience marketing directly to young adults and indirectly via referral marketing to families and school staff.
  • Content and community expertise related to learning disabilities, neurodiversity, K-12 special education and/or postsecondary disability services and a commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience building relationships with various stakeholders and collaborating in a diverse and dynamic team environment, as well as the ability to write compelling messages and reports.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary for this position will start between $62,500-$70,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
