Enterprise Cloud Architect

Overview:

We are looking to hire an Enterprise Cloud Architect. This person will report directly to the Director of Infrastructure and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies, infrastructure, and security, as well as experience managing large-scale IT projects.

Work Location: Remote

Enterprise Cloud Architect Salary: $46.47/hr – $86.61/hr

The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions for Emory Healthcare.
Collaborate with other members of the IT team to determine project requirements and ensure successful implementation of new solutions.
Develop and implement cloud infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards that ensure security, reliability, and scalability.
Work with external vendors to manage cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Evaluate and recommend new cloud-based technologies and services that align with Emory Healthcare’s business objectives.
Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud infrastructure design, configuration, and operation.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and support to other IT staff on cloud-related issues.
Participate in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
Extensive knowledge of cloud-based technologies and services, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management tools.
Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory requirements related to cloud infrastructure, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
Strong project management skills and experience leading large-scale IT projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
